“Before creating my own products, I tried all of the chemically-based, medical prescribed items and there were little to no results. Going a more natural, holistic route, I saw so much progress and wanted to share that with everyone. I’m also a lover of animals and I’m a pet-mom, so I, in no way wanted to be associated with animal cruelty or any practices that could potentially cause harm to Earth.” Jane Ormon, Founder of Nolaskinsentials
Hand-crafted, all natural, vegan, cruelty free and woman owned skincare line, Nolaskinsentials is a brand you definitely want to incorporate into your beauty routine- if you have not already.
Founder, Jane Ormon, created a line which utilizes formulas based on ingredients that help combat certain concerns and the needs of the “nolababes.” Whether it’s dry, oily, or combination skin, acne prone, aging, etc, Nolaskinsentials has the products for you.
After learning about this fabulous brand, we had to try out a couple of products, including the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and the Arame Nourishing Eye Cream.
The Pumpkin mask smells good enough to eat, but just as the description on the site warns- “try not to ok?” Key ingredients in this highly effective mask include pumpkin puree- obviously, 10% glycolic acid and hemp oil. Full ingredient list here. Pumpkin is naturally packed with antioxidants and beta-carotene, which improves the texture of the skin. The benefits of glycolic acid- most importantly being the ability to unclog and minimize pores makes this the perfect mask to add into your beauty routine.
The results can be seen after the very first 5-7 minute treatment. Pores are visibly smaller and skin is soft and smooth. You can apply all over the face as it is a gentle formula or to targeted problematic areas like the nose.
As for the Arame Nourishing Eye Cream, what a unique product! If you are wondering what arame is, we have got you covered. Arame is a sea oak, a species of kelp, of the brown algae family. It can be eaten (the algae not the eye cream!) and is packed with calcium, iodine, and potassium plus many more vitamins and minerals. Of course this botanical ingredient will do wonders for the skin- especially the delicate under eye area.
Do not be intimidated by the color of the eye cream. Once the product is thoroughly applied to the skin, the color disappears. If you have any concerns though, try applying before bed. Unlike the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask- we recommend not placing the eye cream in the fridge. Room temperature keeps the texture creamy and silky smooth.
Apply a small pea sized amount of this product under the eye and around the orbital bone. The Hyaluronic Acid combined with the benefits of the arame, reduce the appearance of fine lines and for those of us in need, dark circles. Rich in texture, apply this product on top of your favorite serum for maximum results.
