Last year, I had the distinct honor of speaking with the incredibly talented Author, Janet Evanovich. To say I was giddy to interview her for the second issue of Deliberately Considerate magazine is an understatement. Speaking with one of my favorite authors directly and asking all my burning questions was quite a thrill for me and I am so happy that I could share with you the conversation.
Since chatting with Janet, she has written two more additions to the Plum series, which continue to engage, entertain, and ultimately leave me waiting for the next one. Her writing style is witty, fun, and exciting.
As the author, Janet feels great responsibility to entertain her readers. She goes through great pains to make people smile and avoid trying to sway people politically. Her goal is to entertain in a positive way. Family and community is important. Her characters are flawed, but have a good moral base. Each book ends well. You can rest easy knowing that your favorite character will live in the end!
Her books offer a bright spot in the day. Janet hopes her books serve that purpose. They are written specifically for ease and enjoyment, which is why chapters are kept short to make sure that even the busiest reader can fit a chapter in during their day.
