In honor of International Women’s Day, which was officially celebrated yesterday and Women’s History Month , we will be featuring some incredible and inspiring women business owners.
Frances Thrasher, founder of Kindred Skincare Co. was featured in the very first issue of Deliberately Considerate. She developed an organic skincare brand that is centered around a spiritual foundation. Frances was influenced by the Japanese method of Shinrin Yoku translated to “forest bathing.” The synergy between the inside and outside of our bodies should be considered when choosing what we eat, do, and certainly what we apply. What began as personal research specifically for Frances’ sensitive skin evolved into the Kindred brand.
After years of extensive trial and error, testing basic principles of oils individually and combined, Frances was confident in her science infused botanical formulations. Today, Kindred is a trusted brand, a favorite among celebrities like Alicia Silverstone and included in Martha Stewart and New Beauty Magazines among others.
Frances ensures that ingredients are certified organic and avoids purchasing ingredients in countries that do not have regulations to guarantee the production practices.
We are proud to spotlight Kindred Skincare Co. and the inspiring entrepreneurship of Frances. It is crucial to support, promote, and celebrate women each and every day not just this month. Be sure to pay it forward. If you are currently a “mentee” remember that one day your experiences will be an opportunity to share and “mentor” another woman in need.
Let’s close with excellent advice from Frances on how-to succeed as a women-led business owner; “Persistence, compassion, and authenticity!”
