Admittedly, I’m no expert when it comes to foundation. However, I was feeling a bit spontaneous on a shopping excursion to Sephora. Of course, I had a list of the products I needed, but did not stay focused. I am a fan of so many beauty vloggers and lately have been feeling left out. Their skin is always impeccable and resembles skincare with coverage rather than my archaic conception of foundation.
I scanned the makeup brands timidly searching for the right shade, consistency, coverage. Thank goodness a very knowledgeable and friendly associate saw the fear on my face and stepped in. She recommended the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation and matched my skin perfectly with the shade porcelain. She explained that the light coverage simply evens skin tone and blends smoothly, giving the face a glowing, healthy appearance. I tend to gravitate towards personal reviews and she added that on a trip to Puerto Rico, the Becca foundation was her go to product. The consistency is lightweight and lasted even with the heat and sweat. I was sold. Convinced I left the store with a new product to try with one addition. I also purchased the Perfecting Coconut Eye Primer to avoid any creasing as I increase the layers to my makeup routine.
I have applied the aqua luminous perfecting foundation two ways, with my fingers and with a brush. Both work well, but I prefer applying this formula with fingers following a moisturizer. The best way to describe the results…luminous, it’s in the name. My skin looks flawless each time, makeup sits beautifully on top and my face feels incredibly hydrated.
